Well, the weather is pretty gnarly already and it's supposed to continue on throughout the day. I've decided therefore that we'll do the field trip differently today. If you still want to go to CEPA and Hallwalls today as scheduled, please go ahead, but I will not be heading out. If you do not go today, you need to figure out a time to go to these places another time this week on your own. Note that CEPA is open every day, but Hallwalls is closed on Sundays and Mondays, so plan accordingly (and check on the websites to make double sure of open times).
When you go to these galleries, be sure to take your notebook with you and take notes about what you see! If you have a camera, take photos. You MUST make a post on your blog about your experience in order to be considered "present" for this week's class. Since I will be out of town next Friday, you have a couple weeks in which to do this.
Regarding next Friday, February 15th – I will post a list of galleries and museums that aren't on our schedule for you to choose from. You will create your own field trip! Again, you will make a post on our blog about this as well (and separate from the CEPA/Hallwalls one, though your trip can be combined).
Also, be sure to collect any brochures or other items each place you visit may have to take away with you.

Which brings me to... BLOGS! There are still a few people who have not yet sent me a link to their blogs. If you haven't started on that already, you're going to get behind and that does not bode well. Make it your priority over the weekend, and make sure to either email me your URL (web address), or reply to any post on the main course blog with the information.
